Sometime  you will get this error when you tried to start your Wamp Server, which is configured on Windows.

You will get one of the below error message and will not be able to start the Wamp server. Saw that this issue is a common problem with a few other application also.

Then you need to download and install  Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015  (By click on this, You will redirect to the download location)

How to add a UPN suffix to an Active Directory

The UPN identifies the domain in which the user account is located. This UPN suffix can be the DNS domain name, the DNS name of any domain in the forest or it can be an alternative domain name as the UPN suffix.

User Principal Name (UPN) suffixes are part of Active Directory (AD) logon names. If you want to add a new UPN suffix, you can follow below steps,

You can use Windows server 2012 and later versions.

To do that, you can go into Active directory Domain and Trust then right click on ADDT and select properties > Select UPN suffix > and enter your new UPN suffix and click add.

Once you done that, close and reopen the ADUC and when you are creating a new user you should be able to select the new UPN suffix for that account.

The steps that I'm listed down bellow is easier and within few minutes you will able to renew your license files.

First of all you need to download your SSL certificate from the licensing authority. This can be done by after,

1. Create a CSR and then wait for some time to generate the SSL certificate,

2. After expiring the SSL certificate, purchase the new certificate from the same portal  and download that.

Once you go into the Certificate MMC you will be able to find the expired Cert and the dates.

Then Open the *.CER file as below and click install certificate. Once you are done that you will be able to see that under your Exchange or the IIS certificate list.

Sometime you have to select “Open with Crypto Shell Extensions” to open the certificate.

Then you can assign the services by right click on the assigned certificate and select assign services.

Install KMS 2012 Step By Step

Here I'm Going to demonstrate the installation and the use of KMS role which is in the Windows Server.

First of all you need to setup the Windows 2012 Server and then can go in to

Manage > Add Roles and Features > Role-based or feature-based installation > "Select the Server" where you want to install the role > Add Roles and Features Wizard > Select "Volume Activation Services" > Then install the additional features

Then you will get the Volume Activation Services wizard. There you can find a description about the VAS.

Note: The Volume Activation Services (VAS) role is not required to configure a KMS Server. To do the management, it is highly recommended to install this role.

Note. If all Windows OSs activated on this KMS server belong to one and the same Active Directory domain, you can use a special KMS extension — Active Directory Based Activation.

Select the computer name which you want to activate. (The computer need to be in the domain.)

Now you can copy paste the KMS key which you can get from the Microsoft Volume Licensing portal

Once that done you will get the below window. Here  you can select the Review configuration and click next to proceed.

If you have not added the firewall exceptions, you will get the below window. You can add the firewall exceptions as mentioned below. And then run the setup again.

But for the initial run, disable the Windows firewall and run the activation. This way you will have a way to understand that KMS is not giving any errors. Later give the exceptions in the firewall and enable the destination PC firewall.

If the firewall enabled, you will get the below error.

Go in to Windows firewall and click on New Inbound rule Wizard.

Then add a TCP port 1688.

Click allow connection.

Here you can select the Domain as the selected network. But I prefer to go with the Domain and the Private networks.

Give a name for the newly created rule and apply the changes.

Now you will be able to use your KMS server to activate Domain joined computers.
